Hi, McKenzieS
I appreciate that quick reply. There are several "gray ratsnakes" here but I had not seen this brown colorization. I have Snakes of the Southeast by Gibbons and Dorcas (2005) and could not find it. The ratsnakes I have seen here are around 5 foot with approximately a 1 1/4 inch girth and fit the textbook colorization (gray, dark). The size also threw me off. It may have eaten a roommate. It was chasing a 5 footer up the tree last week. To give you an idea of size, the hole in the tree in picture #1 is about 9" in diameter. Thank you again.
