California king snakes usually get between 4-5 ft and can live quite well in a 20-30 gallon tank with a clasping screen lid, or even a sterilite/rubbermaid 32 qt- 41 qt tub will suffice. Never house two king snakes together for the have a tendency to be cannibalistic and one cage mate may consume the other. For a substrate use aspen, Repti-carpet, paper towel, or Carefresh. I personally do not use newspaper for when it gets wet the ink runs. Provide a hide, a water dish (large enough for the king snake to soak in) and a climbing object. Provide an undertank heat source, preferably under the hide. A heat pad will assist your California king snake in digestion. Help with Assignment
