My female northern pine laid 16 eggs today. Does anyone know of any instance in Pituophis of parthenogenesis (virgin birth)? It's been recorded in Burmese pythons and a number of other snake species. My female was raised alone, has never seen a male. Just a shot in the dark before I discard the eggs...
