Hi -

I'm looking to purchase and setup as well as a ball python as a pet. Looking for a young one.

I have kids that are 11 and 13 so it's temperament is most important to me. It would be nice if it looked cool but I'm not looking to breed or spend a ton of money on a pet. Any recommendations on breeders that I should work with that would really check out the temperament of a snake? Does it change much as they age assuming they are handled enough? Do different morphs or "normals" have different temperaments?

As far as their setup goes, I read a lot of different info on the size of the enclosure. Too big/too small = stress. I understand the hides and the temperature differences on each side of the habitat. I am looking for a recommendation on the size and brand as well. Exo-terra?

I am experienced with reptiles but I'm used to bearded dragons, leopard geckos and other smaller creatures. There is just so much conflicting info out there on ball pythons!

Thank you in advance for any help you can provide.
