Hello everyone.

I am still pretty novice at this and am trying to learn more about the snakes around my home. This one was an odd one because we found it stuck in the top part of the garage door (up on the rail). I am not sure it if got pulled up there when the door was opened or if it got up there on its own.

I assume that the black mark behind the eye is probably a key to identification. I don't have a photo, but the bottom was a clear checkerboard pattern.
