Question for the group, I've had a pair of pig nosed turtles for almost 20 years and they're BIG and I'm much older than I need to be in order to breed them, which was my dream. I have enormous amounts of space (1500 gallons) for the pair but never had the nerve to put them together. Injuries seem probable. So at this point, I think they should be with someone who would do a reputable / credible job BREEDING them. They got a clutch out at an aquarium in Rotterdam Germany. So it CAN be done. (Reproduction of the pig-nosed turtle Carettochelys insculpta (RAMSAY, 1886) at the Rotterdam Zoo ) So my questions: If I post a classified; based on their conservation-status, do I go to jail for "selling" a pignosed turtle nowadays? How do I find someone who would buy this pair at a fair price, and actually, credibly, breed them? (The Atlanta Zoo doesn't want them.) Reproduction of Fly River Turtles
