Someone asked a while ago what an Eritrean plated lizard was... and upon doing a websearch for info on my new Sudan plated lizard, the info that the Honolulu Zoo had included range info for the species... one of the places was listed as "Eritrea (Ethiopia)" So it's pretty likely that the lizard in question was a Sudan plated, or what ever other plateds live in Ethiopia... I hope this helps....

Also, I haven't been able to find definite info on these areas -

How do you sex Sudan plateds? Hemipenal bulges are not apparent.... pores? head shape? behavior?

If you wind up with 2 males, will they fight if housed together?
(I am familiar with herps, so I am assuming - yes)

What size enclosure is necessary for 2 individuals?
Right now, I'm thinking 40 breeder? Or larger?
