Bring it home and tell them you can't return it. Then get ready to be grounded, beaten, or yelled at. They'll forget about it soon. Works for me, and I'm asian which means my parents are mad crazy and hate all things un-furry.

Or you can tell them that you'll get good grades, take out the trash, wash the dishes, etc.

I prefer the former.
