Hey! My roomate's Cal king snake got out of his cage, we're not sure how, but we think that our cat may have loosened the top. The cat's been obssessed with getting to the snake. I heard them toussling under the table where we keep the snake's cage and seperated them. But while I was putting the cat in a closed room, the snake went out of sight now I've lost him. We have several issues..
1- The cat attacking the snake if he finds it first. He could try to keep the cat in a closed room, but it's not gonna last for very long, especially if the snake is gone for months.
2- We have a 8 month old baby who is really active and gets into everything. I'm afraid the baby will get to the snake first.
The snake is close to 4 ft long. The baby's room was thoroughly checked and wasn't found to be in there, and I'm now keeping a towel stuffed into the gap under the door at all times so we can keep that room snake free at least. But I'm really worried that it could hurt the baby. What harm can a 4 ft king snake do to a baby.
We also don't know, in it's confrontation with the cat if it got injured at all. It was supposed to be fed tomorrow.
Any advice you could give me on this would be very very much appreciated.
Thanks!
