this is unfinished...out of a metallica album cover...

here is a bearded dragon i did with oil pastels...i'm unhappy with his beard...

this is supposed to be a self portrait of me...it didn't really come out looking like me, but it came out ok...

this is a random red head flying in the clouds...

this is my favorite bearded dragon picture that i drew...it is so specialized that i just love it...

ew! next time rememer to put a shirt on the man with those.
aren't necessarily my best...most of my pictures that i have drawn that i liked most i have given away or are at my parents house...i don't really draw that much anymore...
...my best--but not my favorite medium--is charcoal...i was forced to use that a lot in college and i learned to use it very well but hate it...
thanks for any input...

Very nice pics. You are talented. I liked the oil pastel pic of the bearded dragon.
I prefer not to work in pastels just cause the smudge so much. I like ink and pen using nibs and a bottle of ink, sculpture(this is my favourite medium) and oil paints.
I'm going to spend a few bucks and stock up on my art supplies. I once did up a picture for my father of a fish tank. It was made of SCUPLEY clay. Its a framed piece but sticks out in 3D form. Its something i'm very proud of. I plan on making some of the same type of *pics* of my geckos. I'll be getting a new digital camera so i will be able to take pics of my setups and geckos and work from that.
Being that i was in such a small school and the only grade 13 art student, i was stuck in the grade 9 class and taught separate. One of my projects was a nude and the younger students thought it was funny....teased me alot. I'm not even sure where the pic is but its around. I work in a variety of mediums and subjects, don't really have a favourite subject.
It'll take me a while to complete any of the clay pieces but once i do i'll post for sure. I've been looking forward to doing that again for a long time and i can't find a better subject to work with besides my geckos. This medium gives the opportunity to get into textures so that will be cool

i never took an art class until my junior year in high school. my mom taught me how to draw. i also grew up in a very small town...only about 250 people total..but my high school had more because it combined all the surrounding communities...
...i took art so late because i hated school at first, then at sophmore year i switched schools...then by junior year i actually started liking school, then senior year i loved it...i ended up majoring in studio art in college...i went 2 1/2 years before i left (yes, i am successfully a college drop out.) i didn't know what i wanted to be, so i didn't have the motivation to do anything with myself...including going to class...
...anyway, art was the only thing i was any good at besides chemistry, and i wasn't interested in going through all the math to be a chemistry major, so i went with art. i appreciate the compliment...i have just been too busy to do anything with art lately...the oil pastel of the bearded dragon is actually one of the latest i have done of them all...i have really kinda lost interest...and oil pastel is totally not my medium...
thanks again...kinda rambling...
amanda
by the way...my mom is very good at painting pet memorials...she paints your pet on a hanging slate...she has done several dogs but can do anything...she is great...if anybody wants a sample please email me...she has also painted many personalized mailboxes for people...whatever you want!!!
like i said, please email me for details...
I could see you going far with your art. I've moved away from it for a long time now and its about time i get back into it. Art is an expression of ones self...and i have much i wish to express
Seeing everyones art has inspired me to get out a pen and paper.....thanks

bring it on!!! i'd love to see it. maybe i'll pick up some charcoal and go for it again too. the latest project i've been working on, besides a new puppy, is a granny square afghan. which is wicked (i'm from new england, don't mind me) hard to do with a puppy around...

-ignorance is not to be punished when one is trying to gain knowledge...what scares me is the vast number of people who, when given the information to gain knowledge, choose to ignore it.
thank you so much. it means so much to me to get compliments after all this lazy time of not drawing anything...it's amazing to see how many leo owners draw...
