We got ours from a reputable dealer and she's a beautiful animal. I wouldn't critize anyone for wanting to get one. They make nice snakes for a first time boa owner as they tend to be less agressive than the locality bred species. Ours was our first big snake and now we are looking at a Surinam or Peruvian.
