THey are a great pet for a first large snake, but when you buy one of those it supports the hybridizing of endangered species. Thats why i mentioned the locality pure boas. No one gets to see the colombian form of BCC or BCI, all they see is most likely crosses. Also, dont you think its good to actually "know" what you have? the breeders probably bought them as Colombian Red-tail so they breed them and call the colombian Red-tail and the petstores call them colombian red-tail, do you really think ALL of them are actually colombian?
