Posted by: Sasheena at Sat May 1 09:28:23 2004 [ Report Abuse ] [ Email Message ] [ Show All Posts by Sasheena ] Sometimes I have some fun experiences when I don't even know if a snake has escaped yet. Our Jungle Carpet Python is due to move up to a larger enclosure. At the moment she can get out of her current one. Sometimes the phone books stacked up on the top aren't enough. She's a large enough snake that so far we've found her each time she's escaped. Once I found her curled up on a heating pad only half under another snake cage...saw her THROUGH the glass so I thought for a minute she was cuddled up with one of my kingsnakes. Another time she decided to visit the CDs and was knocking them down willy-nilly in the middle of hte night. Yet another time I had forgotten to lock the lid on my Blotched King cage and my HUGE male was out... so I woke up bleary eyed one morning to go looking for him (as I had several days in a row) and looked around and had to rub my eyes several times, because sure enough, I saw a snake, but it wasn't my kingsnake, it was the jungle carpet. She'll move up to a much larger LOCKING enclosure in the next couple of days. [ Reply To This Message ] [ Subscribe to this Thread ] [ Hide Replies ]
