I'm not good with softshell species identification, but that looks like a Florida Softshell, and unless you have a large setup for it, you better pray it is not female! And if it is, you will know, they are very very large. If you feed it everyday a few times a day on turtle food, in probably a year it will have tripled it's size, or possibly more. You won't be able to correctly sex it until probably around 2009, unless you know what the temperature was that it was incubated at.
