hey,
i am going down July 17 to pick up some different lizards. Aust. Water Dragons, Argentine Tegus, and a couple Jeweled Lacertas from Agama International. i've done a lot with Bert, and figured this time i would go down there and give the lacertas a try. i normally stick to my monitors and tegus. though i also have a water dragon and some bearded morphs. im guessing UVB is very important with Lacertas? right now i have a 40g breeder setup for them. with a 100watt Powersun and a 2'Reptisun. different hides and which substrate would you guys use plain dirt or cypress mulch? diets mainly insects i have a constant supply of nightcrawlers, waxworms, superworms, roaches, crickets and some other little buggies. will they eat mice or fruit and veggies? im not expecting a pet to cuddle with, but do they calm down any? or are they just always hi-strung lizards? all pics of cages are very welcome, ideas or websites. thanks
below is a pic of Bob, my Blackthroat monitor taking a dip. he is around 5½' and 30lbs...? about 2yrs old
