If I put a Lemon in the water.....

I saw at a pet store aquariums with Lemon, lettuce, and either zucchini or cucumber, in the aquarium for the fish to eat. If i was to do this for my fish, whom also lives with my frog...would it hurt the frog? (Basically, would the citric acid from the lemon harm the frog in any way?) thanks!
