My mother surprised me today with a Leopard Lacerta. Unfortuanitly, I know very little about these animals, and she did not gather much information about them from the vendor. All this guy told her was that they need a "foresty" habitat and that they eat crickets and mealworms.

I love the little thing. It has the greatest temperment, and appears to be healthy. It's eating and drinking at least. I currently have it in a 10 gallon tank. The substrate is coconut bark. I have a couple of rocks, some fake vines, and a water and food dish. The water dish is fairly deep, and while the lizard seems big enough to not have any trouble getting into/ out of it, I placed a rock on the bottom of the dish just to be safe. At the moment I don't have any lighting or heating.

Would someone be able to give me better information about this lizard? I feel kind of bad. It was a complete surprise, and I was luck that I had the materials mentioned above. I realize that there is a good chance that this is not adequite. I am especially worried about the lack of heating/lighting.

Thank you in advance for any info. provided.
