In the early spring mine were extremely active basking and eating. Once the warm summer rolled in they dug into my bog and went into a summer hibernation. Sometimes I would dig them out to feed them they would eat but dig right back in afterwards. They really haven't eaten in about two months on a consistent basis. I know they are extremely heatlthy though are heavy and colorful. I guess they are just a finicky species of turtle, exact opposite of my woods.
