i think hand feeding is only "possible" with particular frogs... my first one was really friendly, and sometimes when he came up to the surface and just sat in the plants, i'd hold a dried worm or two just above the water, and he'd lunge at them and everything worked out fine.
the pair i have now, however, dont respond well to hand feeding at all. but i have been able to train them to feed in a certain spot with a useful if slightly unorthodox method...they really like these frozen shrimp pellets i have (i know, not what youre usually told to feed them...) and i used to tie a thread around the middle of the pellet and dangle it in the tank (same spot every time, of course). now they know to swim to that corner for their food, but sometimes i'll still dangle it from a thread and jerk it around a little- easier than live food, and it gives them a little stimulation i think.
