Randy, No confirmed sighting of the species is known for the San Gabriels, There have been some anecdotal accounts of the Rubber Boa having been observed in those mts. but no preserved specimens to date.
The SRB only occurs in the San Bernardino and San Jacinto Mts. Similar appearing boas exist elsewhere in S. Calif. such as in the Tehachapi Mts., Mt. Pinos and vicinity west of I-5, Breckenridge Mt. 35 miles due east of Bakersfield, the Piute and Scodie Mts. due east of Breckenridge, the southern Greenhorn Mts. and southern Kern Plateau. Like the SRB, all of these other C. bottae populations are a dwarf from the species.
