A new subspecies of Vipera renardi

Hello all!

Recently a new subspecies of Eastern Steppe Viper - Vipera renardi bashkirovi - was described by Garanin, Pavlov & Bakiev In Bakiev et al. from Spassky Archipelago, Kuybyshev Reservoir (Vodokhranilische), south-western Tatarstan. According to the description this form distinguish from others by following characters: total length up to 710 mm; ventrals 120-154; subcaudals 22-35; 19-21 scales around midbody.
