Are they long term captives? Most States have laws against releasing animals into the wild, even if they were wild caught. If they were caught locally, relatively recently, it is probably not a problem. If you have caught several you might be over possession laws as well. I would definitely return them to the wild if you can, especially at the beginning of breeding season. If your laws allow, and you want, keep only 1 as a pet. Preferably keep a male if you want a wild caught pet. You do not want to breed a local species anyway as most States forbid commercial activity of species found within the State.
