Above, all the people make good sense. Just think of it this way.....reptiles in general don't become "tame" like one thinks a dog to be(even questionable). They are still wild.....they dont need you...they can survive on their own (in proper habitat of course)! So they will always have the potental to act wild.

I consider myself a pretty experienced herper (both in the field and class room) but the only "HOTS" that I own are Gila's, which are relitively safe (as far as hots go). They are not a pet to be handling and showing friends!

If you do make the jump into hots please be smart!!! We dont need more front page news!! Make sure your local hospital has antivenom!!! And start out with mildly venomous please!!!! Sorry if I come off harsh....just tired of reading articles about venoms pet bites.
