I have 3 female geckos living quite nicely together in a 20 long. I've just gotten a male of about the same size as my girls. I'm wondering if there are any special concerns regarding adding him to their colony?

I'm planning to move them up to a 40 gallon in the next couple months - should I just wait till then so they're all in new territory? Or is it better to keep the male separate except for breeding purposes?
Thanks!
