Is anybody aware of new papers concerning L. fuliginosus taxonomy? I´m also searching for valid information on Lamprophis fuliginosus subspecies and identification keys. I´ve already done a bibliographical research but maybe I´ve overlooked something. Maybe any of you has seen a snake like this befor: It is Lamprophis without doubt, but lacks the evry hint of head or body pattern, and has a very short head with a scalation differing from L. fuliginosus. The body scales are fringed, a feature I´ve never seen in fuliginosus. This form seems to stay very small. It´s at least 4 years of age by now but only about 40-50cm long. Sincerely, Mathias Rath
