well, the reticulated pythons were subject to a revision back in 2000 and 2002. Below listed the relevant citations. You can ignore the Hoser paper and the introduction of the genus Broghammerus by Hoser. See discussion below in this forum.

I guess almost nobody will seriously follow this more than poor proposal...
