I did consider nematodes, but could not find symptoms that matched. She still has the bump, but ate today and has otherwise seemed normal. Her leg/foot is back to normal. But still I'm really worried about her, the bump is there and I don't want her to go through it again.

If anyone knows any more info, like personal experience, with nematodes in ACFs I'd so love to hear about the symptoms.
