RE: What is "line bred" supposed to mean?

I went to that link and alot of things just say "line bred." But there still has to be a certain gene or genes that are selectively being bred, right? Of cousre you're going to line breed a hypo carrot tail. But don't you need a hypo to hypo breeding to keep hatching hypos? So would that make the hypo gene recessive, like albino? I was actually having this conversation with my girlfriend last night. We didn't get very far becasue she knows very little about genetics and I know very little about leo morphs. Can anybody elaborate?
