Thursday, May 26th, 7pm. This months meeting will feature Karl Betz with a presentation on the venomous snakes of Georgia. Karl is the current Vice President of the Southeastern Hot Herp Society, Inc., and has authored articles for several publications on safe handling, husbandry, and breeding of venomous reptiles, served on the staff of www.venomousreptiles.org, and maintains memberships in the Jacksonville Herpetological Society and the Florida Venomous Keepers Society. He has provided consulting services for the Jacksonville Energy Authority, Washington & Lee University, Boy Scouts of America, Crooked River State Park and Okeefenokee Wildlife Refuge. He currently makes his living as the Assistant Navigator onboard a U.S. fast attack submarine for the U.S. Navy. Guests are always welcome.
