I know that mixing different species of reptiles is generally a bad idea, but I have a Phelsuma quadriocellata quadriocellata and a Chamaeleo jacksoni (currently in separate enclosures). The C. jacksoni is in a 65 gal Reptarium w/ live plants, a mercury vapor UV basking lamp, and a misting system. The gecko is currently in a 10 gal aquarium w/fake plants, bamboo, and reptibark substrate (recently picked him up at a reptile show) until I can build him a decent vivarium. I was wondering, since the gecko and the chameleon's habitat conditions are so similar (temp, humidity, lighting, etc), could they be housed together, at least temporarily?
