Well I just got a southern female painted and a male western painted. I see the male sit on the females back and she opens her mouth like she is going to bite him. Could they be mating this time of year? If they are mating should I put out sand or something so if she does lay eggs they can dig in there? Also I was wondering if they lay eggs can u just leave them where they lay them or do u have to incubate them to hatch? Thanks
