I want to make sure this one doesn't get out though. I plan on keeping him in a small plastic critter cage until he's 1 year old (like i did for my other one), and then transfering him to my bigger reptile cage with sliding screen top and latches (the one my snake escaped from). The way Zumbi got out was through a hole created by pushing on the sliding top at the front corner. I've tried fidling with it, but the latches just don't hold that corner tight enough. I've thought about padding that side with layers of tape so that the top will slide up against the tape, which will cover the gap, but I'm not sure this will be secure enough. I can't pile books of top of it, as it wouldn't help with a sliding top. My only other thought is attempting to rig a bungee cord that will keep the top pulled back tight - but I don't think I will have much success attaching the cord to that corner. Any thoughts?
