Females can get 6" long or so (think 4" snout to vent) on the big side. Males are usually about half that size. They love company, but if they think it will fit in their mouth, they will eat it. Someone I know on another forum had her ACF choke to death on a goldfish which was much too large, but it tried to eat it anyway.
