Prevent further escapes.

You should probably have at least a 30 long for your fence lizards. Make sure it has plenty of rockwork. I made a rock ledge background for my spiny lizard tank using Coronadostone, a realistic fake rock. I used industrial strength velcro to attach it to the back of the tank. I have ESU Lizard Litter Jungle Mix as substrate, various well-secured rocks around the tank for the lizards to bask and climb on.

I have a basking incandescent light, 2 40W incandescent tube bulbs in a reflector fixture to illuminate the rest of the tank, and a Repti-Sun 5.0 UVB bulb to prevent metabolic bone disease. These lights are on a timer.

I have a small water bowl on top of a chunk of rock and some artificial plants scattered about. I break off the back legs of the large crickets by pinching them and then I put the crickets into a straight-sided 5" diameter storage jar (minus the lid, of course). I have about an inch of substrate in the bottom of the jar so that the lizards can leap in and out, but not the crickets. I had some crickets eat off the back legs of a lizard while she slept, so now they are restricted to this feeding jar, which works well. I make sure to gut-load the crickets with a high-vitamin, high-calcium baby cereal which I place into the feeding jar.

My lizards seem very happy.
