Regurging Rosy

I purchased a male 2000 san gabriel rosy boa in March and he regurges every few meals. I have tried smaller and smaller mice but he still regurges. I could take him to a vet but that would cost... Any suggestions as to what is wrong and what I can do would be appreciated.
