My turtles will eat anything that moves. They dont care what it is. Was the cricket moving around in the water when you tried to feed it to the turtle or was it just floating there? Sometimes they dont move and then the turtles have no interest in them. If you poke the cricket with something to make it move around a bit the turtle is more likely to chomp it.
