i was traveling from oregon to montana today, and we stopped in a town called umatilla, which is a good...6-7 hours from my house in montana...when i went in to pay for the fuel, i checked on my snake (who was in a cooler) and my cat, and when i moved the car for 2 seconds, i went to put some water in for my snake and he had escaped...i panicked and was in tears but i couldnt find him and had to leave, all the while hoping he was in my car somewhere and ok.

when we got to montana, we ransacked the car *again* and low and behold, i found him in my trunk behind the fabric that covers the sides...alive but very warm...he also had some black goop all over his body from where he was huddled (when we fixed the trunk, we put window sealer to keep it from leaking where he was hiding)i gave him a cool water soak to help him cool down (he was back there for at least 6 hours) and then tried to get the goop off with dawn and warm water, which didnt help...any suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated, as i liked him better as a snow corn =/
