>>I do not have a reptile vet anywhere near me, and would really appreciate any advice on how I could save him. He started getting sick about 3 days ago.
Can you find a non-reptile vet to treat him? I have a reptile vet now, but before she moved here I didn't. My dog's vet was always willing to try treating anything I brought in. When he didn't know exactly how to treat whatever pet, he'd pick up the phone & call the exotics vet at Texas A&M, or he'd use the Internet to contact exotic vets through the private vet area of the AVMA website or through VIN. He was always able to get correct info from an exotics/herp vet electronically. If that doesn't work then can you travel to another town to find a herp vet? Pneumonia is something that can't be treated at home because the medications that will cure it are sold by prescription only so you'll just have to find a doctor who can help him.
In the meantime raise the temperature a few degrees, keep him warm & good luck. Here's a link to a vet list, it lists them state by state, maybe you can find one in a nearby town.
