Mine are mostly on defrosted pinkies and nightcrawlers, with occasional cooked, peeled shrimp from the supermarket - I just microwave the shrimp with a little water and peel. My eels are 14-18". When they were smaller they'd eat an occasional wax worm in addition to chopped nightcrawlers, blood worms, and freeze-dried tubifex worms.
