"Hypo" is a dominant mutation ie requires only one gene to express or show. With hypo's you can't visually determine if the animal is Heterozygous (one hypo gene) or Homozygous (both genes hypo) Super is commonly being used to describe an animal that is Homozygous for a dominant trait.

A het for hypo bred to a normal would have 50% of the babies show as hypo. Each of those hypo babies would also be hets.

A hom for hypo bred to a normal wold have all the babies show as hypo, also with each being het only.

A het bred to a het would have 3/4 show as hypo with 1/3 of those being Hom (or super)

A het bred to a hom wound have all the babies show as hypo and 1/2 would also be hom.
