Eastern Muds and Mississippi Muds look a lot alike. Eastern Muds, usually have a bunch of little "dots" on their faces. Mississippi Muds will have stripes on the side of their faces(like stinkpots). Florida Muds have the face of a 3-striped mud, but don't have the 3 lines on their carapaces. As for the common mud turtle, I'm couldn't find anything about it on yahoo.
