I would go with a 20 gal long just to be on the safe side. Also try and introduce them to the tank at the same time. I would also add a few climbing places like some drift wood. My fat tails climb from time to time and I use a drift wood log for a basking spot. I have not seen them use it during the day but they are all over the place at night.
