I would suggest an Amazon Tree boa. While it will get longer than 3 feet they say very thin making them very managable. They come in a variety of colors and patterns also. You could also go with a male green tree python (most would have a better temperment than an ATB), again longer than 3 feet but not girthy. Just do your research and whatever choice you make will be the right one. Good luck Vinnie
