No offence intended to anyone but do NOT get an amazon tree boa. Yeah, they're slender, but they still get wider and longer than a cali king. I used to have an amazon tree boa. They have huge teeth and love to use them, ON YOU ! I used to put socks on my hand to handle bitey water snakes and racers that people wanted out of their yards. I tried that with the amazon tree boa. I put two socks on each hand. He bit right through and I bled like crazy. I tried with three socks, same results.
DO look into Solomon tree boas, they are a close relative of the viper boa. They stay small (three feet). They are arboreal. Just try to find one that accepts mice. I've heard from some local breeders that most need to be started on anoles and some never convert to mice
