Never had an Eyelash throw its self at me. Sounds like someone mixed things up with Atheris Squamanger which can be like a coiled spring. I have had one of those pursue me accross a table.

Eyelashes (TME) tend to be docile little fellows unless food is near. Normal safety protocols will easily keep these safe.

Warning though...They can be so good natured you can easily forget that they can tag you.
