I received this wild caught female in early October. I put her with a male so that I could get a fall breeding out of them before I put them down for the winter.

On October 15 she dropped 4 babies. This would explain why she didn't want anything to do with the male. One of the babies died that night, and another died the next day, but the remaining 2 are just fine. The two that died had several areas of deformation of the belly scales.

The male is the thicker of the two animals, with part of his body at the bottom of the photo, and that is also his head. You can also see part of the lower 1/3 of the female.
