when i hatch out phant eggs i do one of two things, first thing i tried was taking them out and incubating them in a 5 gallon terrarium andi got an ok success rate.when i left them in the tank with the adults and let them go through all the cycles the parents do(chanes in humidity, temp and light) i have a much better success rate.usually you tell good eggs right away because the good one are hard shelled and they are hidden, usually beneath dead leaves such.if they are soft shelled they are probably infertile to begin with. my youngest female phant is just starting to cylcle and she is laying inferts every couple of months or so. eggs should be incubated in the low to mid 70's but i have had it a little cooler than that and they still hatch. humidity should be high but not stagnant and dead air. i put a 6 inch fan on the tank and let the air circulate for up to 5 min, then i spray the tank down good and and cover it with a towel. babies are born later in the evening( my average is by 1 in the morning. check on them nightly after 3 months because parents will eat a baby ( it happend to me the other day. and they were fed good.) good luck and i hope this helps.
