My girlfriend works for a company that does lots of shipping worldwide, that day they recieved boxes from somewhere in Asia. Her boss called her into her office because she said there was a "salamader" in her office. It turns out it was a lizard and my girlfriend caught it and brought it home. Now if any of you are from Chicago you will know it is in the teens here and no lizard of any kind could live in these temps for very long so it must have come from the daily shipments. Upon inspection of the lizard it is about as long as a quarter.. it is TINY so it might be a hatchling. It has a solid yellow stripe down its back with black on either side, the rest of its body is a grayish color. It has a head similar to that of an anole and black eyes and it moves very quickly and erratically. Does anyone have any idea of what kind of lizard this is? We really want to find out because we want to try to get it healthy. Currently we are attempting to feed it flightless fruit flies because of its tiny size but so far I am not sure if it is eating.
