Your obstacle to aquiring "blue" grandis is not money, its lack of availability. There are only a few in the world and those who own them are not likely to part with them.

I would say your chances of getting a "blue-tailed" day gecko are far far better!

My suggestion would be to get yourself a couple of normal looking giant days (which are still incredibly beautiful) and start with those first. That way you can keep your eyes and ears open for some blue ones.

Otherwise you will be searching in vain for years while your 30 gallon sits there empty. Get yourself an adult pair and practice your husbandry and breeding techniques with them, that way when a "blue" animal comes along you can get it and you will already be an experienced keeper.

Im not trying to rain on your parade, I just don't want to see you get frustrated in your search... You would have to do some very serious searching to find either a "blue-tailed" day gecko or a blue grandis. The demand for both is extrememly high, but the supply is almost nonexistant.

I wish you the best of luck!

let us know what you end up getting!

PS- I see you keep jungle carpet pythons. I have jungles, IJs, coastals, and a new jaguar carpet that I got from Will Leary a month ago!

Here is a pic of one of my grandis that was born a few days ago
