When I got my first little Cal King we called Bandit about 8 years ago, I never realized how much I would enjoy him over the years with my son who grew up with him, and how much I'd miss him once he was gone. I had to make the tough decision last week, after noticing a large bulge down on his body not going away and after an x-ray at the vet indicated it was probably a tumor of some kind which didn't look promising. So hopefully he went out peacefully, he was a great pet snake, and I hope to get another one down the road sometime. I had a few other types of Kings over the years and a Corn, but didn't keep them (wife made me down size the collection when we got a dog 2 years ago, but wouldn't let Bandit go), and am leaning toward another Cal King since I have to be a one snake guy, and I've found him to be the best of all snakes. Take care and enjoy the hobby.
Jim
